Talk to Me
“Another song from Marriage 1… It was also the bane of Marriage 2… I like to discuss ideas, mainly philosophical and creative thoughts… I build libraries… If you could see the places I live…Books upon books, thousands of CDs, vinyl records, college lectures, old VHS tapes, DVDs & Blu-Rays… I just love learning…and all libraries are retrospective by nature and definition… The mediums change… So I accumulate…just as my very self is an accumulation… Somewhere within me, and perhaps within you too, there is a want to talk about what is deep within us…especially when you are working out an idea… To me, this is the basis of a relationship… This is a frustration song…”

Lately I’ve noticed a change You’ve closed your private world from me Oh just one word from you lips Is enough to set my soul on fire Or burn it through I’m still in love, playing your fool Why don’t you talk to me? You can’t leave me in the dark Talk to me Let me know just where we are Maybe it’s just in my mind But she never seems to have the time For me anymore I’m starving for the sound of her voice Silence is cold, in quiet there’s pain, when you’re alone Why don’t you talk to me? You can’t leave me in the dark Talk to me Let me know just where we are Talk to me Can’t you see that I’m alone? Why don’t you talk to me? When you know, that I’m losing you You’ve moved your affections underground Leaving me to find the answers without you making a sound
